Delete site

  Hello, I was trying to create a site for someone else and discovered that they want to use a different primary website address than the one I have used here (burgundyswine.wordpress.com). This site name will simply point to another site, so I want to delete this site name. Is it safe to simply delete it, considering that it will not be the primary future site and there is no content here now?

  – Don’t delete the site address you can just transfer this address to the another account on which you will be creating site for someone else.

  Deleting a WordPress.com sites means that address will become permanently unavailable for use in the future, even for use on a new site. So it’s only something we recommend doing if that address won’t be needed at all.

  Do you mean you want to change the site address from burgundyswine.wordpress.com, to something else?

  Or that you wish to use burgundyswine.wordpress.com as the address for a separate site which will be owned by someone else?

  Just let me know and we can go from there.
