Delete site

  Hi there

  I have one old site I want to delete which is helenavdh.wordpress.com which I use my email address (email visible only to moderators and staff) for but I also have a new site which replaced this one which is hosted on WordPress that I want to keep – http://www.ahelpfultraveller.com.

  If I delete the helenavdh.wordpress.com via this link https://wordpress.com/me/account/close will it do anything to my ahelpfultraveller website?

  Hi there,

  This option will close your whole account. If the account has multiple sites, it will delete all the sites.

  From your message I wasn’t sure whether you have these two sites http://www.ahelpfultraveller.com , helenavdh.wordpress.com under one account or two.

  In case you have it under one account, do not close your account since that will delete everything. In this case make sure to switch to the site that your would like to delete:
  

  Then click Settings > General > and choose “Delete your site permanently”

  This will only delete the selected site.

  In case you do have two accounts and the two websites are under two different accounts, it shouldn’t be a problem. Make sure to check the list of “what will be deleted”, since it should list everything it will delete.
