"Delete Site" isn't sending confirmation email

I’ve done the steps at “Tools > Delete Site” to permanently delete my site multiple times.
I get this message:
“Thank you. Please check your email for a link to confirm your action. Your blog will not be deleted until this link is clicked.”No email has arrived. I’m positive I’m checking the correct email address. I’ve checked my spam folder.
I’ve gone back to Tools > Delete Site and repeated the steps several times.I tried Contact Support, and they’re not back in the office till Oct 29 (!). I’m hoping someone who can fix this will see this note.
