delete site – never got the confirmation email

  Hello, I am trying to delete one of the website I created with my account (I have four blogs and I have to delete one of them).
  I go to tools>delete website, I click for the permanent delete but I never got the email with the link to confirm it… I tried yesterday and today but nothing. The confirmation email is not arriving! What should I do? Thank you. Elena

  Hi!

  Did you look in the spam folder ? Also, if you’re using Gmail, it could be in the social tab

  I’d be happy to assist you with deleting your blog.

  Before I do so, I’d like to confirm that you understand that deleting a blog is permanent, and you will no longer have access to any of the content or be able to re-use the blog address in the future.

  If you prefer, I can empty the blog so you can start over using the same blog address. If you’re unsure if you want to permanently delete the blog, you can also set it to private in your Reading Settings, so no one else can view the site.

  Please confirm that you wish to proceed, and which option you prefer, and include the exact address of the blog you wish to delete in your response.

  Hello,

  I want to permanently delete the blog called pressappoco.wordpress.com.
  I am not interested in keeping the name or any other content.
  One question: after the deletion, will the contents still be “online” in google searches or not? I really would like my name not to be linked to that blog anymore.

  Moreover, I want to be sure that this won’t affect my other three blogs I have with the same account that I want to keep! (elenadalmasso.wordpress.com, giornaledibordo.wordpress.com and teatroabierto.wordpress.com), but I guess there is no problem.

  So, how can you help me?

  yes it will still be available in their cache for some time – much of it will clear in three to six months – keep in mind that Google is only one of hundreds of search engines – then add in various archive sites also

  Hi Elena,

  I went ahead and deleted pressappoco.wordpress.com. You should not see it appear on your My Blogs section any longer. It should also lead to an error message when you visit it online.

  With regards to Google, as auxclass explained, your site will still be available for some time in the Google cache. If you would like to ask them to remove it sooner, you can do so through the site removal tool as explained here:

  https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals
