Delete site of all content
-
Greetings,
I would like to delete all current content from my blog and start again, but this is proving impossible. It should be MUCH easier to manage content on the fly for a non IT person. A very frustrating, limited and non intuitive interface, Not design friendly at all.
Please let me know how I can delete the current content on my site, including the description next to the name of my site which appears to be impossible to change.
I have only just started so there is very little to delete but still it is sticking like glue.
Thank you very much!

You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog to delete the content in the blog.
You can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.

Here’s how to permanently delete Trash >

Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.

The Site title and/or the optional Tagline can be changed on the top of this page at any time. > Settings > General
“save changes”
That is exactly where search engine spiders look for the site title and removing it from there can cause issues with getting your content indexed. -
Thank you so much thistimethisspace for replying to me so patiently and so quickly. I do appreciate your expertise. I apologize for the frustrated tone of my request for help. I work alone in a home-office and got a bit overwhelmed.
I have been able to change the tagline successfully. I was also able to remove the two posts I had unwittingly made. My final need is to change the image that appears on the site that seems to have been drawn from the image library I created, though I cannot see how to remove it. It does not display correctly so I would prefer to try a different approach.
Thanks to you, I do not need to scrub the site completely and if you or another kind soul are able to help with this last request I will be all set!
Best,
Sophia
