Delete site that had a custom domain

I had a custom domain on my site that finally ran out of its year leaving the site to default to a wordpress.com address. I had been wanting to delete the site for a while but couldn’t while the custom domain upgrade was still active. Now that it is inactive I am still unable to delete the site. It won’t let me delete via the Tools –> Delete Site option because I used to have an upgrade but there is no cancel upgrade option in the Store –> My Upgrades/Purchases area either. How do I get this just totally closed out?

A deleted site can’t be used again in the future.

It is private now. But I just want it deleted completely. Can a WP staff member please do this for me?
