Delete site totally e Duet Theme

  My blog is wasted (giampierofichera.wordpress.com) and would delete it, totally. Also, i create a new site with like characteristics (logo, account name, etc), My theme was Duet, purchased months ago, i would again this theme (no buy again), it’s possible? My new site is : giampieroficherablog.wordpress.com

  1. You can delete all the content in the blog and keep the URL. The premium theme will still be in place and you can start blogging again on the same site.

  You must be logged in as Admin under the exact same username account that registered the blog. Then you can quickly remove your contents by deleting them in bulk.

  bulk delete posts > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
  bulk delete pages > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/edit-pages-screen/#bulk-edit

  IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.

  2. Or you can register another blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/ and have Staff move the premium theme to it and then delete the URL. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  Thanks for quickly answer.

  My new site (URL) is: giampieroficherablog.wordpress.com and would transfer duet them to it….it’s me again
  (and delete old site (URL): giampierofichera.wordpress.com (without create a new blog into).

  Hi there,

  It looks like you’ve opened your blogs under different user accounts. The blog giampierofichera.wordpress.com was opened under a different user account than giampieroficherablog.wordpress.com. I went ahead and moved the Space Upgrade that was active on giampierofichera.wordpress.com to your new blog giampieroficherablog.wordpress.com. I also added enough credits to your new blog that you should be able to purchase the Duet theme without paying anything extra. As a result, I removed the Duet theme from giampierofichera.wordpress.com.

  In order to delete your old blog giampierofichera.wordpress.com, log-in under the owner of that account and follow the instructions here:

  Delete a Website

  If you need to make this switch in the future, as TimeThief explained, it will be easier just to add a new blog to your existing account rather than creating a new user account with a new blog. This way, you can transfer upgrades between your sites without having to move them from one user to another.

  Hi there!

  Are you logged in under the owner of the blog giampierofichera.wordpress.com? To be clear, that is not a username you have used yet in this forum thread. You will only be able to delete the site by logging in under the user that currently owns the blog. Is it possible that you’re not logged in under the right account?

  For Duet theme, removed from old blog, the activation on new blog (giampieroficherablog.wordpress.com) ask me payment!

  This happened because you also had another upgrade (Custom Design) in your cart, which made the total come out to more than the credits on your account. I have removed the Custom Design upgrade. You should now be able to purchase the theme using the credits on your account and not have to pay anything extra. If you would like, you can then go back and purchase the Custom Design upgrade afterwards.

  Hi!

  Great! I’m glad you were able to get the Duet theme installed on your site. Regarding deleting giampierofichera.wordpress.com, that request will need to come from the user account that currently owns the site. If you can reply back from that user account, I’m happy to deactivate the site for you. Otherwise, I can set it to private meaning that it will not be accessible to anyone except the site owner.

  Let me know if you can write back from the owner of the account!

  I’m not able to do anything when I log in my old account (site) giampierofichera.wordpress.com, so it’s ok the second option (set it to private meaning).
