  I want my account to be completely deleted, not just the blog

  Doest it means that I cannot delete my account for good?

  It’s only: block emails, empty and delete site, change password, renaming accounts, reusing email address.

  I want to delete my data, not to keep them in a different form for future use.

  This kind of attitude does not makes me feel like going back to wordpress in the future to set up another blog. I don’t want a membership for life when I am not interested in a website or provider anymore.

  You cannot delete your wordpress.com username account. This is for security reasons so others cannot claim your username and impersonate you.

  That’s a laudable purpose but it would be maybe better to block a username availability forever, like: “dear new member, this username has been chosen ten years ago and even if the person has deleted their account you have to choose another username”.

  The way it is done now sounds like making a decision for someone else, and I am annoyed that I have to remember the credentials to access here just because it exists, even if I want to forget about it. You are basically forcing me to delete the email account associated with this website.

  I want to stress a very relevant point: I had NO IDEA that I could not unsubscribe. I would have NEVER opened an account here if I knew.
  Seriously, why don’t you state this clearly? I’m not even sure if this is legal.

  If the issue is about your email, here is a way to solve it.

  I suggest you to change it to a throwaway address so there will be no way your account could ever be linked to you.

  Thank you, I have never heard of a throwaway address but I will try that method now.

  If you like to have everything you are involved in organised and neat and you like to get rid of things not necessary anymore the possibility to delete an account is much appreciated.
