  Hello. I did not intend to create this account, so it would be great if you could delete it.

  I was hoping to transfer my email address on @discipliberal which is associated to (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff). However, instead of transferring the account after clicking the link provided to transfer email address in my email, it created a new account instead.

  I did not intend to create a new account but rather transfer it.

  Hi,
  WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted/closed permanently once created, but if you still wish to deactivate your account and leave WordPress, you can do the same by doing the steps listed in this post by a staff member: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cancellations-3?replies=5#post-2778882
