  I want to delete this blog

  Dashboard>Tools>Delete Blog. But please be aware that once you delete it you can never get the URL back, not ever! Sometimes it’s best to make a blog private, just in case you decide in future to go back to it.

  I HAVE made the blog private – but when I google my name, it still comes up as top of the list, and I dont want it to because it is very very old – any ideas why this might be?

  You will have to wait for search engines to clear their cache. Everything Google indexes is cached so although your blog is now private, it will still remain in search engines because of the cache. It can take a few months for search engines to clear everything.
