  Hi I’m creating a website for my client. I have started to set it up on my WordPress.com account but would prefer to create a WordPress.com account for my client and host their site on it, so they have ownership. How do I do this and delete their website from my WordPress.com account?

  Correct account: Yes

  Hi there,

  You can create a new account for your client through https://wordpress.com/start/account/user

  Once you have created the account, you can then transfer the site to their account following the instructions in the below guide:
  https://wordpress.com/support/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  However, please note that once you transfer the site, you will be removed as the owner of the site. You will not be able to access the site unless allowed by the new owner. To be able to access and manage the site, you would need to be added as the administrator on the site as explained here:
