  If you want to keep your site address as it is then I recommend emptying your site and starting over with this same site address.
  https://wordpress.com/support/empty-site

  However, If you wish to delete a free hosted WordPress.com site, you must be logged in under the same username. Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use it.
