Delete Website

  I used to run my blog on WordPress.com, but have since switched to .org and I am self-hosted now. I canceled my premium plan long ago with .com, but it still won’t let me delete the site. I have all my content exported and don’t need to backup anything else (it’s been a while). I just need help deleting the wordpress.com site. Whenever I go to delete the site it says, ‘You have active premium upgrades on your site. Please cancel your upgrades prior to deleting your site.’ But I don’t have any upgrades currently.

  Did you have a premium theme on the site?

  There is a bug and Staff will have to remove the premium theme for you. I will type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for a Staff follow-up.   Thank you so much! I did purchase a premium theme as well. But again, it still doesn’t show up in my premium purchases for me to cancel. I don’t need the premium theme, as I already am self-hosted with a new theme.

  Hi there,

  The site you indicated, travelwithistumbl.wordpress.com, belongs to the username travelwithistumbl, and that username still owns a Preimum Theme on that site. I will need that user to post here to request cancellation of the theme.

  I didn’t know that I had a separate wordpress.com account for this one under this name. Now I’m logged in and can see the theme under my purchases, but still cannot remove it.

  Kokkieh, I would like to request cancellation of the theme “Hermes” on my site. Thank you.

  Thanks for confirming as the correct username. I’ve removed that theme from your site, so you will now be able to delete it.
