Delete website, but still online.

I deleted a website (blog.wordpress.com) and closed my account. Now two month later, the website is still online. I can no longer login to that account as it was closed. How can I have that website removed?

What is the URL of the site you are talking about because blog.wordpress.com is the official blog of wordpress.com and certainly not your free wordpress.com website.

As I closed that account as an Admin after deletion of the website, I can no longer login or recover. So there is the problem!

That is a new account. The old account is closed (stated by WordPress when I try to login with the old credentials).
And if I follow the ‘account recovery’ procedure, I do not have the details anymore for proof of ownership (other than all the contact information on the old website to proof it is me).

It’s totally impossible to close an account without also deleting the according website. https://wordpress.com/forums/users/wouterwouters/ has been created on Dec 12, 2009 so it’s definitely the account owning that site.
To find the email account connected to that wordpress;com account, leave a comment at https://wouterwouters.wordpress.com/2017/08/22/wouter-wouters/ and check all of your email accounts.

Something definitely went wrong as the account is closed.
I still have all login credentials, but as the account is closed there is no account to login and delete the website again.So the question is: how to delete a website with a closed account?

@staartmees thanks, the comment suggestion solved it. Looks like there were 2 mail addresses connected to the account.

FYI: a wordpress.com account can’t have 2 email accounts as the email address is the unique identifier on the wordpress.com platform.
