  Provided you are logged in under the username account that registered the blog you can delete the blog by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
  Note that deleted blog URLs are not recycled.
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
  You may want to make it private and use it later > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  @timethief It’s not working. I am not receiving the confirmation link via email. I’ve been trying this for the past 3 days. Something’s wrong on the service provider’s end (i.e. WordPress.com).

  Would it be possible for you to notify the right people?
