Delete wordpress account (not only blog)

  Hello, I would like to delete my whole account on wordpress. I find it incredible that you cannot delete your profile.This is actually the reason why I don´t continue using wordpress. The website installation may be as easy as posible, but if data protection is shit, it is not worth to work with it one more second. So thank you for deleting my entire profile. I already deleted all information and blogs. Best regards.

  I’m afraid this isn’t going to happen. Accounts aren’t deleted exactly for security reasons and I’ve seen staff state countless times that there are no exceptions to this policy. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

  The only details you were required to provide when signing up for your account was an email address. WordPress.com requires no other data from you and will never send you spam to that email address and also won’t sell it to third parties, as clearly stated in their privacy policy. You can disable all email notifications from your account settings:

  If you change that email to a throwaway address there will be no way your account could ever be linked to you. Any other details that you added yourself, you also have the power to delete yourself.   If you used your real name as your username you can change that to a random username that cannot be connected to you. The existing username will then cease to exist and won’t be available for anyone, including you, to ever use again: http://en.support.wordpress.com/change-your-username/

  Dear Kokkieh:
  Thank you for the response, but I don´t agree with you.
  Legally you are obliged to delete such an account if the consumer wishes so. Besides, it is an “interesting”, not to say a ridiculous argument, that via collecting data you are think that you are protecting data.
  I am a lawyer, I have my advocates licence and I am ready at any time to file a lawsuit against wordpress. So, I ask you politely to delete my whole wordpress account. I know that technically it is posible, so go ahead!

  I am not legally obliged to do anything, as I’m not a WordPress.com employee, otherwise it would have said so under my username.

  But I’ll tag this for staff so you can get an answer straight from them.
