Delete wordpress blog

  Hi there I am trying to delete my wordpress blog because I am going to use wordpress.org instead. I already had the premium plan and domain mapping cancelled but am still struggling to delete. Please assist urgently. Thank you

  Hello
  What part of deleting the blog are you having difficulties with? Without knowing the specifics, we can only give you general answers. To delete your blog, follow the instructions in:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

  If you want to empty it out but keep it alive in case you want to use the page for experimentation or whatever, do this instead:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/

  Thank you so much for the response. I followed all of the instructions and spoke to a WordPress technician about cancelling my Premium Plan Subscription which included domain mapping (as I have my own registered domain). Now when I am trying to set up the site on WordPress.ORG and open the account this message appears: “Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.”

  I have logged in and cancelled everything on the WordPress.com side but for some reason the domain mapping aspect is causing an issue I think. I have asked my new hosting company and they have reset the named servers – I am not sure whether this will make a difference….???

  Hello
  Once you have completed all of the steps for removing the account WordPress.Com

  first emptying your content as discussed here:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/

  then the instructions for deleting the site:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  then follow the instructions in:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/

  then log out of WordPress.Com, and you’re done with WordPress.Com!

  You might want to read the following two documents that explain the difference between WordPress.Com and WordPress.Org:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ explains many of the differences between self-hosted (.Org) and sites hosted at WordPress.Com
  https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_vs_WordPress.com is a more who is who explanation.
