delete wordpress site

    Hello,

I have a WordPress site that I created over a decade ago (when I was a kid). As a 13 year old, it was an attempt at a technology blog.

Though the site is still publicly accessible, I would like to remove it. Problem is, I closed the e-mail account many, many years ago — that it was linked to during creation; as a result, the typical ‘Forgot Password’ process to regaining access, and subsequently deleting the site, is of no use.

After writing a nice note in the WordPress Account Recovery form (https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery), I can’t get it to submit as I don’t have a ‘transaction ID’, ‘activation URL’ or ‘two factor authentication codes’.

Well, this site was created almost ten years ago. As I’m sure you’ll realize — two factor authentication wasn’t even close to mainstream back then, no did it exist as an option within WordPress.

Would someone be able to share some insight in to how I might be able to go about this? I’d just like to be able to SEND my message, but it won’t unless I provide one of the three criteria. Is there an e-mail I can use? I trust it isn’t going to just collect dust as a relic on the internet forever, right? Ha.

    Thanks, much.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

Send us an email to help@wordpress.com with the address of the site and we can go from there. If you don’t have what is required for account ownership you won’t be able to regain access to the site but we might be able to set it to private instead.
