Delete WordPress site but not domain name

    Hi, how do I delete my WordPress site without deleting my domain name too? The domain is being used with a different site. When I click on clear content it says it will delete my domain too.

    I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

    Hi there!

    It’s not possible to delete a site without canceling the domain since a domain, even when it’s pointed to an external host, is generally connected to a site. You can make your WordPress.com site private by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/support/settings/privacy-settings/

    This way, the WordPress.com site will not be visible to anyone, but the domain will continue to work with your external host.

    Note that I’m not seeing any domains registered on this WordPress.com account. If you need further help with this, please reply from the WordPress.com account where you have the domain so that we can look into it and help accordingly.
