Deleted ‘A’ records from GoDaddy and now I need them back
-
I rebuilt a website for a friend. It was originally a WooCommerce/WordPress site; the domain was managed through GoDaddy. Today I was planning to switch the domain/DNS settings over to an entirely new site, so I switched the ‘A’ records and deleted the old ones. However, I later realized that I still need to fetch some data from the old WordPress/WooCommerce site but I can no longer do that since the domain has changed, and I don’t have the old A records anymore…is there a way to see where the old site still lives, or find those old DNS records?

I would suggest looking up the domain at https://securitytrails.com/ to see historical DNS on the domain if you don’t remember it. You can also contact their hosting to get the correct records. From this support forum, we’d only be able to give IPs for WordPress.com hosting.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
