  is there absolutely no way to re-instate or re-use a deleted site??

  Hi there,

  Take a look at this post: https://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  Once a blog has been deleted, its related address is no longer available to use under any circumstance. Just to quote:

  Addresses (URLs) for blogs that have been deleted by the owner will remain deleted. We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was owned and deleted by its original/previous owner.

  If there’s any way you can think of a new, original address to restart your blog with, or a small variation on the name you were using originally, that’s probably the best option. Hope that helps :)

  Deleted blog WordPress.COM URLs cannot be recycled. paras0123 is NOT referring to a WordPress.COM blog so please ignore that comment as it does not apply here.

  As stated geekinthegirl above registering any .wordpress.com deleted blog URL is not possible. Blog URL deletion is permanent and irreversible and ignoring multple warnings is required to delete any blog URL http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You can register another .wordpress.com blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

  Thanks for all your comments. Strange thing that nothing can be reinstated. Shouldn’t it be the same as with URL’s? Once you need it back you can either buy it from somebody who claimed it or just register it again? What if somebody would think they’d be funny and sign in and delete any good WordPress names… That’s tricky for this site. Anyhow, thanks for your help.
