Deleted a site, but files are still available?

  Several days ago I deleted our site 67prosenttia at wordpress.com, but files of that site are still available, for example:

  Click to access pikaopas_pdf.pdf

  When will they be purged?

  p.s. I tried to access support via “https://wordpress.com/help/contact”, but I try to post the question I just get an error message saying “That method is not allowed.”.

  Hi there,

  I can confirm that file is no longer on our servers. If that link still works for you your browser could be loading it from the cache. If you clear your browser cache it should no longer work.

  Also note that the file, as well as posts and pages from the deleted site, could be cached by search engines. We don’t have any control over that and you’ll need to contact the various search engines directly to try and get the content removed.

  If I click that link I get a 404 error, which means it’s no longer on our servers. I also ran our cache clear tool to make sure it’s completely gone. If you still see the file at that link it’s cached somewhere else, not with us.

  Thanks, now I also get a 404 (on the morning I tested with two devices and three browsers and could access the file)!

  Thanks for letting me know.

  It might still be cached with search engines, but unless someone searches for the exact link or document title it’s unlikely they’ll find it.
