Deleted ABOUT tab by mistake

  I deleted the About Tab on the Cutline Theme by accident. Now when I add a new page entitled “About” it shows up as a post. Can I get the About Tab back?

  Also, on the sample Cutline page in Presentations, I see “Archives” and “RSS” along the top but I don’t see those when I select that template.

  you have to delete that about page cos it’s actually a post.

  instead go again to write in dashboard. then select write page under the write heading. then do your about page as you wish and when you publish it would appear at the top.

  archives and rss go to the sidebar. go to presentation then select sidebar widget. then drag the necessary items you want to display in your sidebar and press save and voila!

  Thank you for your reponse. But…I did delete the post and started over again. Went to write in dashboard and selected write page as opposed to write post, published and there it is as a post. On the top of the template there used to be a tab that said ABOUT (to the right of the HOME tab) and it is not there anymore. Also on the page where I am writing on the right side there is a pulldown where you can select the “parent Page”. It used to have an About page as a selection and that is no longer there.

  Please bear with me but I can’t isolate your problem. I do understand that you mistakenly deleted an About page. And my response to that is: “No problem just write another one.” This is because we can create as many pages as we choose to “write”.
  I’m not clear as to why you have been unsuccessful when it comes to “writing” a new About page and publishing it. Please look here ->Dashboard -> Manage -> Pages. Now look at the title and be sure that you don’t have one called “About” in draft form that simply hasn’t been published yet. If you do find one click “edit”, open it and publish it.

  Thanks. For some reason the first 3 times I tried this it did not restore the About page with a link at the top of the template. This last time it did, so thanks alot.

  The poster was probably writing a Post instead of a Page. :)
