Deleted account but site url still active

  I deleted my wordpress account entirely but the site is still active. How do I get it removed? I don’t have any proof of ownership because I accidentally cleared my email.

  Any help?

  Hi,

  What is the address (URL) of the active site, and the username of its owner? If an account was closed, then the site must be in a different account.

  Hey,

  The site url is tayloredinsights.wordpress.com. I think the username was tayloredinsights. The email address associated with the account was closed so all the sites were also deleted. I really need it to be removed but I cannot find the email to confirm that the account was mine. I actually made this new one to comment in the forum.

  Is there any other way to have it removed?

  The email address associated with the account was closed so all the sites were also deleted.

  Closing an email address doesn’t result in the account being closed, nor in sites in the account being deleted.

  The author of various posts on the site is juvelletaylor1, so that’s likely the account username. The fact that the site still exists indicates that the owner’s account hasn’t been closed, because account closure results in all sites in the account being deleted.

  Here’s more evidence that the juvelletaylor1 account hasn’t been closed: Gravatar Profile, Forums Profile.

  I really need it to be removed but I cannot find the email to confirm that the account was mine.

  As long as you don’t have Two-Step Authentication enabled on the account, then login to a site requires only 1. the password, and 2. either the username or the email address. So you don’t need the email address.

  Site deletion steps (some recommended but not necessary):
  1. Log into the account using the password and username.
  2. If you intend to retain the account, you might want to change the account email address. See the Update Email Address support page for relevant information and instructions.
  3. Read the warning near the top of the Delete Site support page and consider the alternatives suggested in that support page before following the instructions on deleting a site there.
  4. Delete the site as described in the Permanently Deleting Your Site section of the Delete Site support pae.
