deleted account still takes up url

  I have previously held a blog: dianthavess.wordpress.com – I deleted it, then tried to reuse the name later. Why, if the blog has been canceled and deleted BY ME, is the address still not available?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Because you deleted it:

  Addresses (URLs) for blogs that have been deleted by the owner will remain deleted. We cannot, under any circumstances, allow someone to take over the address of a blog that was previously owned and deleted by its original/previous owner. Please do not submit support requests asking us to do this.

  You agreed that gone was gone forever when you deleted the blog – deleted blog URL’s are never recycled.

  You will need to pick a different name or buy a custom domain name and map it to a blog here

  That seems like a terribly wasteful policy, serving only to force individuals to purchase domain names in the future. Domain names of the .com, .org, .net etc variety are up for grabs as soon as they become unused.

  You received several warnings before deleting the blog. And when you delete it, you agreed that the URL could not use more.
  It was your mistake, not to WordPress.com
