Deleted accounts not deleted?? That's OK now…

I have deleted my company and personal sites as I wished to reestablish them in a corrected form. Went through the delete and confirm process and they are both still up? Did this about an hour ago. I think I have corrected them sufficiently and so I’d like to keep them now. Will they disappear in a few hours or did the “delete” not take??

The authors have deleted this site.I’m sorry but you failed to provide any other URLs so I cannot check the sites in question.
Provided you are logged in under the Admin username account that registered the blog in question you can delete any blog registered under that username by using these instructions. http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/After you do that if you cannot locate a verification email, look in your email client spam/junk mail filter for the email with the blog deletion verification link in it and click that link. If clicking it does not work then copy and paste the link into your upper browser bar and click.
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/ You may wish to make it private instead and use it as a testing and backup blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

Can a blog that was inadvertently deleted be reopened by the original owner? I read that others cannot activate someone else’s past blog. That i understand.
