Deleted Accounts Reused

Hi,
I’m trying to set up a new blog but the name I want is apparently taken. So I searched for it and when it comes up its says that it has been deleted by the user. So my question is can I, somehow, reuse this blog name? Or is it forever lost in the abyss of deleted wordpress accounts? -

Blog deletion is meant to be a permanent and irreversible act. Deleting a site requires ignoring several warnings that the URL cannot be registered again by you or anyone else, followed by an email with a site deletion link in it and the final warning regrading using it. https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them, and the only exceptions made are for deletions made 2 or more years ago is stated here http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/
If you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.
