Deleted and now can't reset a featured image for my blog
-
I had a perfectly cropped sharp feature image for my blog. I went into my Media Library and wanted to delete some multiple images and declutter the library. I deleted some of the various versions of the feature image and it disappeared. OK, I thought, let’s just delete the featured image and reload, resize, and edit the original from my iPhoto library. But despite spending an hour trying to restore it, I can’t set a featured image now and even when I edit and resize it and it shows up on the “View Post” page it shows up unedited but then does NOT show up AT ALL when I go to my blog home page. What did I do? I had NO problem setting and editing the featured image originally an thought it was the ideal featured image for my blog. I’ve set up a slide show, positioned and edited a number of other photos etc. but now can’t get this to work.
Please advise. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It sounds like this is a cash issue. Have you cleared your brow’s cash and cookies? I’ll tag this for staff attention if that doesn’t work.

I figured out what I had done–I had deleted my custom HEADER–which is what I was trying to restore. (I feel a bit chagrined but now will remember).
However, I am wondering now about the diff between featured image and custom header. The header is always at the top–but I thought that the featured image also worked that way.
There is still something I am missing. Thanks very much for your help. I appreciate it.
