  hi i deleted my blog, now i want to recreate it, with the same name, however when i do wordpress still remembers it as a used site address , also what is the best blog for a lecturer i need to create a blog for my students but cant seem to find the right theme,

  please advise asap

  Deleted blog URLs are not recycled here. There are several warnings of the permanency of URL deletion and a verification link is sent in an email to complete the deletion process. You can confirm by reading:
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/delete-blog/
  http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  However, you can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.
