Deleted blog

  Hi there,

  I recently wanted to start a blog and created one under the name “shayrubine”. I played a bit with the customization and features but wasn’t entirely satisfied, so I deleted the blog. Having tried something else, I finally came back to wordpress and recreated a blog under the name “shayrubin”. I figured the name shayrubine wasn’t available anymore because I had just deleted it a few hours before. Now it’s been a few days, and I did some research as to why I still can’t recreate a blog under the name “shayrubine”: it’s because of your policy that no one can claim a name that has been used before, even if the blog has been deleted.

  In this case though, I am the one that deleted the name in the first place, so I’m kindly asking if there is a way to let me have it back. Please?

  So sorry, Jessica, but once it’s gone, it’s gone!

  I notice, though, that a lot of versions of shayrubine (.com, .net, etc) are available to be registered. So if you’re really attached to that spelling, you could purchase the domain upgrade, and remove the .wordpress.com part of your url altogether. Here’s some info: Domains
