  Dear wordpress,

  One of my friends made me a blog with my name “www.melissacallaert.wordpress.com “‘ I deleted it because the privacy issue. Now for school i need to use my name again for my online journalism portfolio. Is it possible to get my name back so i can make a new/or the old one back?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Gone is gone forever – once a name is deleted it is gone even from the original owner. You need to pick a different name or buy a custom domain name and map it to a blog here.

  Auxclass is correct. We do not reuse or reassign deleted blog names on WordPress.com. You will need to select a different blog name. For full details, please see this link:

  However, you also have the option to purchase a custom domain name and map that back to your WordPress.com blog. In that case, nobody would ever see the underlying WordPress.com URL. They would just see your purchased domain. For full details, please see this guide:
