Deleted Blog Address

  I want to use a blog address that has been deleted. I checked the address and it says it has been deleted by the user. When I try using the address now, it still says its taken. Any way I can get this blog address or is it gone forever?

  It is gone forever. We get this question every day.

  WordPress.com does not recycle blog addresses. If someone deletes a blog, that address is gone forever basically.

  Damn, bummer. So what happens when eventually everything is taken? Seems like eventually usernames/addresses will be a bunch of acronyms and random letters/numbers.

  At some point they will have to revisit that I suspect, but who knows when that will be.
