deleted blog and manage domain

  I had an old blog thoughtcurry.wordpress.com. I created a new one sankhasom.wordpress.com and used domain mapping to map my domain to this new blog. I followed all the instructions verbatim. I then exported my data out and deleted my old blog.
  When I then tried accessing my domain management console, I find that it is not there any more. It seems to have gone off with the old blog. I juts paid for it yesterday.
  Any idea how I can make my domain upgrade to point to my new blog?
