Deleted Blog and want it back: URL

  Hi I was wondering if I can start my blog back up again with my same URL.

  Please note that deleted blog URLs are not recycled.

  You can register another blog with a similar name. http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Or you can register a domain vis a domain mapping upgrade and it will not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is.

  I find it rather silly that the author of the blog, who deleted it, cannot restore the same URL.

  I deleted my blog URLs a few years back as I wasn’t ready to blog yet. I don’t recall warnings about not being able to use the URL again. I did accept the warnings of the content being gone forever.

  I fully respect not allowing URLs to be re-used by someone else, but your policy on recycling-blog-names makes no sense in the scope of the original use of the URL using it again.
