Deleted blog as imports not working

  Hi there

  I deleted my blog as my imports were not working and I was unable to add any posts.

  I thought I would be able to reuse the same URL straight away, however this is not the case.

  Please would you give me any advice on the matter?

  Unfortunately, you over-reacted to the importer issue which you could have got Staff help for, and ignored all the warnings that blog deletion is a permanent and irreversible act.

  https://bedroomballadeer.wordpress.com is no longer available. The authors have deleted this site.

  You cannot register any deleted blog URL. Deleting any .wordpress.com blog URL is not easily done and what you ask to do is not possible. One has to ignore at least three warnings stating that deletion is permanent and irreversible and then click a verification link in an email to delete a blog. That’s because deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made. http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/

  You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/

  Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

  The guide is here http://en.support.wordpress.com/changing-blog-address/ and makes it clear that changing a URL is a permanent and irreversible act. No changed or deleted blog URLs are recycled here, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

  re: stalled imports
  Sometimes the importer gets stuck. We wait 24 hours for the process to complete and if it does not then we type modlook into the sidebar tags on this thread for Staff help.
