Deleted blog, still appears active

Are you logged in under the exact username account that registered that blog?

someone else created the blog years ago, that person is no longer alive, i had completely forgotten about the site until a few weeks ago when my insurance company contacted me to tell me that they had dropped my insurance because the “site” says i do roofing and they dont cover roofing injuries. So i used my email and “lost password” tool and logged into the account. I deleted the 1st link i posted here, but now somehow a 2nd one appears to be active…i just need all traces and blogs/sites that have Persa Construction eliminated

Too bad you did not state clearly up front. A blog is owned by the username account that created it and not by anyone else. There is a process for transferring the blog to another username account but one has to be alive to do that. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account

As stated previously this thread is tagged for Staff support.

If you can log in then you can make the blog private. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

NOTE: Deleting blog content does not remove indexed content in it from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. We have no control over that.

Your username, persacostructionllc, is not listed as a user on the constructionpersa.wordpress.com site. Only an authorized administrator can delete a site. To delete your site you need to log in as constructionpersa, the assigned administrator.

If you no longer have access to the login information or the email address associated with this site then unfortunately you will not be able to delete this site. If this is the case I can set the site to private for you if you can provide me with the email address for this user. Setting the site to private will prevent people from accessing any of the content.

i just need the site gone/deleted/not accessible to the public, will setting it to private do any of those?

  • Unknown's avatar

That’s right; private blogs are not accessible to the public. http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/ If you can tell me the email address for the username that owns this site then I’d be happy to set it to private for you. Do you need me to?

como faço para excluir o meu blog que acabei de criar?

  • Unknown's avatar

yes please, should be ((email visible only to moderators and staff))

@persacostructionllc: Thank you. I have set this site to private on your behalf.

@diarioqueridob: You can find information on how to delete a blog at http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/. If you need more information could you start a new thread for your question? Keeping each thread about a single issue helps make the forums easier to read for everyone.
