Deleted blog still shows up in google search
-
I deleted an old blog, but when I run a google search you can still see old files that should no longer be accessible. How do I get rid of these files so that they no longer show up in a google search? The blog is deleted so I have no way of accessing my old site anymore.

Hello @emilyerinstewart,
Quoting what @timethief has said here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/permanently-delete-pdf-files-from-an-already-deleted-site?replies=6To keeps things running on WordPress.COM, files are kept on multiple caches through a separate system. These caches are usually cleared within 3 days and the deleted files will then show a 404 page not found message.
When we delete a public blog/site from WordPress.COM, it does not remove the indexed content from the search engine page results. Google is the responsible for clearing their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. To completely remove an entire page from Google search results after it produces a 404 page not found message, read this:

Thanks!
