deleted blog to be rid of “dotcom” as part of name
-
I registered lifewitholive.wordpress but what I got was lifewitholivedotcom.wordpress so I changed email address to secondary, deleted blog, waited for confirmation, cklicked on link, re-signe din with primary email, now I’m being told that “Life with Olive” is taken. If you cannot fix this and give me lifewitholive.wordpress.com then I’ll have to use another blogging software.

so confusing not even funny
blog I want is lifewitholive.wordpress.com NOT lifewitholivedotcom.wordpress.com

very frustrating experience to register and then to try to fix – you should make clear that the name should be flush right next to .wordpress so it doesn’t automatically add “dotcom” to the name. You need to resolve this and give me lifewitholive.wordpress.com – that is what I wanted – your software automatically added the dotcom.

Is this the one you are ranting about?? Looks fine to me.

I also automatically got dotcom in the adress. I really didn´t write it myself. How did you get rid of “dotcom”?

I feel for those dealing with this issue, which includes me. Yes, the system automatically added “dotcom” to what I submitted. I registered a custom domain, sherenity.com. However, when I login there are two separate and independent blogs. When I go to My Blogs, I can select “Sherenity” or “sherenitydotcom”. Even though I changed the Primary blog to be Sherenity.com rather than sherenitydotcom, when I enter the URL sherenity.com, it loads up thesherenitydotcom.com blog. I tried to Change the Blog Address for sherenitydotcom.wordpress.com to be sherenity.wordpress.com, but it already exists (sherenity.wordpress.com is the blog it should be going to, not sherenitydotcom.wordpress.com). How can this be fixed?
