Deleted blog to start over

  Hi,

  I deleted my blog to start over, but now can’t use the same name.

  The email I received is as follows below this, as you see, the mail states deletion of the current blog is permanent however there is no mention that the name cannot be reused.

  It’s a business name, so is very important, all I wished to do was start over.

  I would very much appreciate your help on the matter.

  In your situation, I might be able to help. I’ve responded to your request via the email associated with your WordPress.com account.

  Please reply there and we’ll get it sorted out.

  We do attempt to make it clear that deleting a site makes the address unavailable. Including in the email you quoted:

  TO PERMANENTLY DELETE YOUR SITE, click the confirmation link below. This immediately removes all your posts, pages, comments, and data, along with your site’s address. You won’t be able to recover them

  But also in the support documentation:

  Delete a Website

  Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to reuse its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

  We also attempt to provide better options for emptying your content as you use the delete site tool:
