Deleted content still showing in google search engine

    I deleted some words in an essay I posted and I googled a phrase and it still shows up. So I permanently deleted the entire post but it still shows up. When I click the link the page is empty BUT I do not want the phrase/essay to pop up in the google search engine at all. I want to type the phrase in and see NO results.

    It can take search engines some time to update when websites are changed. Deleting the page on WordPress.com won’t immediately update their saved search results. WordPress.com has no influence over this whatsoever, as search engines maintain their own results.

    If the page no longer exists on the web, they should accept a removal request. You can submit it here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/removals
