"Deleted" Document Still Appears in Google Search
-
I have deleted a Word document from the media folder that was never made live, but found by Google. This document and the private material it contains is still accessible. This is causing me a lot of grief because someone’s private contact information is easily available. I have asked Google to clear the cashe, but they have denied the request because they said it is still live. I can’t find where this document still lives. I’ve searched everywhere. Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

WordPress.COM has a cache that holds media files for quicker access when people visit your site
It can take up to three days for media files to be cleared from a cache
-
I will need the name and URL where you are seeing this document. Once I’ve got that, I can look into it.
-
The name of my organization is Artists Up (artistsup.org) The URL of the document I need to remove is here: https://artistsupdotorg.files.wordpress.com/2013/12/latha-resume.doc
Thanks for your help!

Hello. I’m still able to download the document through a Google search. Should I contact Google and ask them to remove it from the cashe? I’m sorry this is so much trouble.

That link produces a 404 page not found for me. Please clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache

I second the previous post.
However, if you are using google’s cache, there is nothing we at WordPress.com can do about that. The file has been removed from our servers.

Should I contact Google and ask them to remove it from the cashe?
Yes
keep in mind that Google is one of probably several hundred search engines and archive sites

As auxclass indicates If information was deleted from a webpage, but still shows in Google Search results, you can ask Google to update or remove the page. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663691?hl=en
