deleted domain
-
I decided to switch to wordpress.org via siteground because the customization capabilities of Personal WordPress.com were too low. I wanted to use the same domain (freelance-farmer.com). Since it was to late to switch the register to sitebuilder, I tried to change the DNS to siteground’s addresses. Did not work, freelance-farmer.com still redirected to the old (deleted) blog. So I deleted the domain too, hoping I could buy it again from somewhere else. Now it’s unavailable to buy, and sometimes STILL redirects to the old deleted blog. Do I just need to give it a day?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi-
Thanks for writing to us. I’ve restored freelance-farmer.com back on to your WordPress.com account. This is the only way to insure you can maintain ownership of it – we don’t want you to lose it.
When looking at the DNS records I can see that the domain is pointed to site ground via the name servers:
ns1.us190.siteground.us
ns2.us190.siteground.usYou are set up correctly. It can take 3 days for DNS changes, like this to take full effect. When did you update those name servers?

Thank you for your quick assistance! I updated the name servers yesterday. It’s still not working, but then I don’t see the domain back with my account. Any progress?

I don’t see the domain back with my account
I see the domain, freelance-farmer.com, listed on your account’s Purchases page at https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/freelance-farmer.com/11542289, and under My Site ->Domains at https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/freelance-farmer.com.
Where are you looking where you don’t see it in your account?
The domain is correctly pointed to Siteground from our end. If it’s not working it’s because it is not properly connected on Siteground’s end, so please contact their support for more help with this.

Also note it can take up to 72 hours after changing the name servers before the domain will reliably load any new site you point it to.
