I refunded my doimain in wordpress and wanted to register it at another provider. Transfering was not possible, since your domain hast to be older than 60 days. But right now, I am not able to buy the refunded domain at the differenct provider, because it seems to be still occupied. How long does it take until the domain is free to be obtained again?

Cancelling a domain does not make it available to repurchase elsewhere. Additionally, the 60 day transfer period (set by ICANN, not WordPress.com) is just for transferring the domain – you can purchase a domain anywhere and use it anywhere else as long as you have the correct domain nameservers for your hosting.
Since you didn’t mention the domain name, I’m assuming this is for
benjamin-muenster.com? If this is correct, here are the options you have available:Wait: You can wait about five days from cancellation for the domain to be released. So long as no one else buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider.
Repurchase the Domain: We can send an invoice and restore the domain. You’ll be able to point it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.

Regarding the multiple threads: When creating a forum post, there is a long time without any feedback until you get a confirmation screen. I was not aware of that and thought my first attempts didn’t come through, so it was not my intention to cause additional work for you and I apologize for it.
