Deleted domain, but I want it back

    Hello, I had a hard time understanding how to buy domains, so I purchased it from WordPress.com and then I deleted it. I really want my domain space to be my name, so how long do I have to wait for the domain name to be available again since I just asked for a refund? Thank you!

    Hi zoelahaie,

    Cancelling a domain means giving up ownership, so it’s only something we recommend doing if it won’t be needed in the future.

    Because zoelahaie.com was cancelled so quickly after registration, it should be released back into the pool of available domains in around 5 days time. I can try to restore the domain but we will need to act quickly. The domain has already been refunded so I’ve sent a payment request to the email address on your Account Settings page.

    zoelahaie.com was attached to zoelahaiedotcom.wordpress.com but this site has been deleted. I can either restore that site or add the domain back to another site owned by your zoelahaie account.

    If you would prefer to wait for zoelahaie.com to be released and purchase it elsewhere, just let me know and I can delete the payment request. Please reply here if you do pay so we can look at restoring the domain before it is released.
