Deleted domain in error!

    Hello, I deleted my domain in error! I thought I was deleting the blog associated with my account, not the domain I had just purchased. How can I restore my domain?

    Hi there,

    You appear to have canceled your domain name, which has resulted in a refund and also means that you no longer own it. However, you do have a few options for getting it back, let us know which you would like to move forward with!

    1. Wait for grace period to end – Your domain is in a 5 day grace period (from the time you cancelled) but at the end of that it goes on sale again. As long as no one buys it before you do, you can purchase it again with another provider. According to our records it will be available on or about January 16th
    2. Let us recover the domain – Because you have already been refunded, we can send an invoice for registration fees and restore the domain. You’ll be able to connect it to a new host as soon as it’s restored, then transfer the registration after 60 days.
    3. Stay on WordPress.com – The cost of your domain is included in your plan purchase if you purchase the “yearly” not monthly option. To restore your domain just purchase a new plan, and then let us know so we can reattach the domain to your WordPress.com site.

    You may want to consider the yearly option on our Personal Plan, which is our lowest cost upgrade and will include your domain fees for the first year. In addition it will turn OFF the ads we show on free sites to help cover our costs.
