Deleted domain name

Hello! I was trying to set up a site for my family and realized I had used the wrong account to set it up, so I deleted the entire site, which was just a domain name, thinking I could start over. Unfortunately, now I can’t get that domain name back. I read a couple of forums where WordPress representatives offered to restore a domain for other people in this situation; would this be possible for me? Thank you!
