Deleted Domain Restoration

URGENT! Similar Situation!
I inadvertently deleted our domain name when trying to delete our personal wordpress site. nickdancer.com
I was speaking with someone and they asked if I wanted to delete the domain and I did not realize what all that involved. I thought it was just going to delete it from our site not from all of the interwebs. Is there any way to get it back? Specifically to transfer it to another host? I have the EPP Authorization code just not the Admin Contact Verification code to complete the transfer process. Is there anyway to restore our domain in order to get this code?

We had a wordpress blog site that was assigned the domain ‘nickdancer.com’
We were trying to create a new site through Bluehost with the same domain. In the process of getting rid of the wordpress blog, we deleted the entire site, we also deleted the domain. We were meaning to transfer the domain. Because the domain expiration isn’t until Dec 2017, we can’t use it until then. Our hope is that we will be able to restore the domain on wordpress in order to transfer it to bluehost. Does that make sense.

https://nickdancercom.wordpress.com is no longer available.
The authors have deleted this site.
WordPress.comOn My Mind at https://nickdancer.com/ is proudly powered by WordPress.ORG software.

Thanks for clarifying. This thread has been tagged for Staff assistance.
Since you said you were speaking with someone, can you return to that live chat window? As a WordPressdotcom upgrade plan user you have access to direct support from Staff via the contact form at https://wordpress.com/help/contact when you are logged in to the username account that purchased the upgrade.

Hi –
I’ve restored nickdancer.com before it hit redemption. The domain is active on your account again. You can transfer it or edit the DNS to point it to a new service.
The free version of your site that was deleted is unable to be restored. Deletion of .wordpress.com sites is permanent as warned through the process.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Can you point me in the right direction in regards to transferring? I don’t see the options I had before.
-
It’s asking for me to Unlock the domain – I previously had this option, but now I don’t see it anywhere.
-
I think I can make my question a little more specific.
When I go to “manage purchases” in order to transfer my domain, the following appears.
nickdancer.com
Domain Registration
Expires on December 7, 2017
You are no longer a user on On My Mind and cannot manage this purchase. [Contact Support]I realize that the site was deleted, but shouldn’t I still be able to manage my domain registration?

Good Morning –
I’ve move nickdancer.com to trialrun934.wordpress.com since you deleted the other .wordpress.com site. Now when you go to the purchases page you should be able to transfer the domain.
The domain wasn’t connected to a free site (because it was deleted) which was causing the issue you described.
Please let me know if this works out.
