Deleted domain… when will it be released from redemption?

Hi, I deleted my domain because I wanted to transfer. I had let it expire, and was ready to be done with wordpress.com. I’ve had trouble with the site loading, and customer service in the past. I wanted a new host.
In all honesty, I should have done my research before I deleted. But, the delete button was there, and I pushed it, hoping to use the domain name with another host.
Right now, the domain is still owned by wordpress.com, I cannot register it with another host. I have no desire to open my domain back with wordpress.com. After reading through a few of these, It appears to be in a state of “redemption.”
I’m wondering how long that lasts so I can register it with another domain.And yes, yes, yes. I know that the name is up for grabs in the meantime. I’m just wondering if there is a way to see the domain available elsewhere, without having to pay wordpress.com any more money.

Allowing a domain to expire
When you allow your domain expire, it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.If you are in the grace period you will not have to agree to pay a redemption fee set by the domain name registrar that wordpress.COM staff cannot waive.
Otherwise, if you want Staff to try to recover the domain for you then you will have to agree to pay the redemption fee.

If you’re logged into the account that is associated with your expired domain, they will look up its status and get in touch with details.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into the associated account

This domain has not officially entered redemption. Once it does, it will take about eighty days to work through that process before it’s available again. We do not have any control over when this occurs and there will not be any notification when the domain does become available again. You’ll need to try and register it every day until you are successful or someone else is. If you want to add the domain back to your account I can help you do that. Then you’ll keep ownership of it and you’ll be able to transfer it to a different domain provider if you wish.

Is that good news then, that it’s not yet in redemption? So, I could add it back to my account, then transfer it if I want? Ok, I’d like to do that. How do I go about that?

I’ve reached out to our domain partner asking that alanaholland.com be restored. As soon as I have an update from them I will post the news here. It shouldn’t take longer than 1-2 days to hear back.
