  Hello, I need help.

  I delete a file that was on my blog, so it doesn’t appear in there, however, when I do a search on goolge, still see the link as if it were on my blog. I need to stop appearing on the net that file, what can I do? Thanks

  Contact Google. Search engines each cache things for anywhere from six months to infinity. You’ll need to contact every search engine and request they remove it. Yahoo China, btw, never deletes anything.

  Google says don’t do that except for very important reasons:

  “Don’t use the URL tool to get rid of pages [… t]o clean up cruft, like old pages that 404. The tool is intended for URLs that urgently need to be removed, such as confidential data that was accidentally exposed. If you recently made changes to your site and now have some outdated URLs in the index, Google’s crawlers will see this as we recrawl your URLs, and those pages will naturally drop out of our search results over time. There’s no need to request an urgent removal through this tool.”
