Deleted files refuse to go away!

    This morning I needed to delete an image which had an error in it. Went to the library, chose ‘permanently delete’. Uploaded the corrected file, put it on the page, and there was the old file, still showing up. Went through this about 5 times, thought I was losing my mind. The only way I could get the new file to show up was to revise the name. So, when I delete an image it’s not really deleted? And a file with the same name is not overwritten? Seems to go against everything I know about file management. Thanks for any insight on this. ;-)

    Please share the link of the image you are talking about, so we can take a closer look and help. Also, make sure that your site is hosted on WordPress.com.

    The problem was corrected by renaming the file, and I know the site is not hosted on WordPress.com, so please disreguard. Thank you.
